Overview

Click, Cook, Save & Enjoy ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal digital cookbook that helps you store recipes, plan meals, build shopping lists, and track your pantry. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account & Authentication: Your email address, a hashed password (managed by our hosting platform), Google OAuth profile if you sign up with Google, your app role (admin or user), and your subscription plan (basic, enhanced, or premium).
• Profile & Preferences: Daily nutrition goals (calories, protein, carbs, fat), your saved favorite stores, and your AI dinner-suggestion usage count.
• Recipes & Collections: Recipe details you create or import — title, description, category, cuisine, servings, prep/cook times, difficulty, dietary labels, ingredients, steps, notes, images, video links, and tags — along with the collections you organize and recipes you favorite or share.
• Shopping Lists: List name and item details (name, quantity, unit, price, aisle) plus which recipes they came from.
• Meal Plans: Your weekly meal schedules (date, meal type, and assigned recipe).
• Pantry: Items you track at home (name, quantity, category, expiration date) and your expiration-alert preferences.
• Membership Vault: Store or service name, membership/loyalty number, optional username or email, category, and notes you add. Please do not store plaintext passwords here.
• Location (user-provided): The zip code you type for the store locator is sent to an AI service to find nearby grocery stores. We do not track GPS location.
• Device Permissions: Microphone access (for voice-to-text ingredient entry) and camera/photo access (for receipt scanning and recipe images) are requested only when you use those features. Voice audio is processed in your browser and is not stored.
• Payments: Checkout is handled by Base44 Payments. Buyer email, name, and address are collected on the checkout page and are not stored in this app.
• Usage Analytics: Basic in-app event tracking (such as which features you use) to improve the app.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
• To store, display, and organize the recipes, lists, plans, and pantry items you create.
• To generate AI dinner suggestions, shopping lists, and nutrition insights.
• To process subscription payments and manage your plan.
• To send expiration alerts and shopping reminders you opt into.
• To improve features and diagnose technical issues.

Third-Party Services

Click, Cook, Save & Enjoy uses trusted third-party service providers to operate and improve the Services. These providers process information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Current providers include:

• Base44 – Application hosting, authentication, cloud database, secure storage, artificial intelligence features, and application infrastructure.
• Google Sign-In – Optional account authentication for users who choose to sign in with their Google account.
• Apple App Store and Google Play – Subscription management, billing, and app distribution where applicable.

These providers maintain their own privacy and security practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before using their services.

AI Features

Click, Cook, Save & Enjoy includes artificial intelligence features powered through the Base44 platform.

These features may process information that you voluntarily submit, including recipe ingredients, meal planning requests, grocery searches, and other cooking-related prompts.

Information submitted to AI features is used solely to generate the response you request and to provide requested functionality.

We do not use your AI prompts to serve advertising or create marketing profiles.

Because AI-generated responses may occasionally contain errors, users should independently verify nutritional information, allergy information, ingredient substitutions, and food safety recommendations before relying on them.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not share personal information with third parties for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may share information only when necessary to:

• Operate and maintain the Services
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Authenticate users
• Store your data securely
• Provide AI-powered features
• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect the rights, safety, or security of our users or our Services

All service providers receiving personal information are contractually required to safeguard that information and use it only for the services they perform.

Data Security

Your account is protected by authentication, and each user's data is isolated using Row-Level Security so you can only access your own records. The Membership Vault is access-controlled but is not encrypted at the field level, so please avoid storing passwords there. The underlying platform uses HTTPS for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your Choices & Rights

• You can view, edit, or delete your recipes, lists, plans, and pantry items at any time.
• You can delete your entire account and all associated data from the Settings page.
• You can revoke microphone and camera permissions through your device settings.
• You can disconnect Google Calendar or Google Tasks integrations at any time.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the updated date above and encourage you to review it periodically.
